Movement is the key to optimal brain development providing the essential information and conditions needed for children to thrive.
The Centre of Movement was founded on the belief that children with disabilities are capable of far more than most people imagine. What began in Australia has now come full circle, with families no longer needing to travel overseas—intensive therapy is available here in Aotearoa. With centres in Rotorua and Christchurch, we are building a movement that honours whānau and gives every child the chance to thrive.
We support children with diverse needs and abilities, including – but not limited to – those navigating:

To make your visit easier, we also offer an equipment library. When you arrive, we can help you access showering, bathing, ADL supports, and other pieces of equipment to make your trip smoother and more comfortable.
